Day One

We aren't adusting too well to the time change so far. We are getting up super early and going to bed super early. Maybe in a few days we'll get up to speed. We started our first day by going to breakfast at a wonderful little restaurant called Longhi's, followed by a trip to the grocery store to pick up a few items for the week. Once back at the condo, we went to the pool area and then "Big Beach" (aka Makena beach). The waves were so strong it was crazy. It was fun until I got pulled under and slammed into the bottom. It really is quite dangerous. There are many injuries and a few deaths that occur at this beach every year. James, Linsey, Tiff, and Casey stayed in the water for a bit and then one of the local surfers had to tell them when it was safe to get out (so they wouldn't catch one of the waves at the breaking point)!
